Our Story

Our company, Akuna Pearls was inspired by the Aboriginal word “Akuna” which means ‘flowing or running waters’. Akuna Pearls is a small vibrant and motivated company that specialises in freshwater pearls, incorporating a wide range of sizes and colours, with jewellery fittings made of quality components.

At Akuna Pearls, we design and manufacture an extensive range of pearl jewellery, including earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, bracelets and brooches.

Akuna Pearls was formed in 2006 making its debut at a local markets in Darwin. The business have been relocated to Melbourne since 2018.

At Akuna Pearls, we believe in high quality freshwater pearls at unbeatable prices, and strive for exceptional customer service. But most importantly, we acquire directly from quality Pearl Farmers, which allows us to source the most beautiful freshwater pearls.
